Starting points are quality and safety. A product which is 100% reliable under the most extreme conditions, which performs better than the existing lead-acid batteries, and will under no circumstance cause danger to man and machine. The in-house production reached full speed on the 1st of July 2010.
Super B: simply better battery
Super B developed a new battery with an innovative production method. As Super B demands to have a high quality standard, the company decides to start up
its own production instead of outsourcing. To achieve this, Super B cooperated with several highly qualified institutes and companies.
Lithium iron phosphate is used for the Super B battery, which is the safest type of Lithium Iron Phosphate technology. A specifically developed housing and VMS (Voltage Management System) electronics guarantees the safety of the product.
It all started with the design of a battery for personal use which would weigh less and perform better than conventional batteries. As soon as the first
prototype was built, it soon aroused a lot of interest from others. In a short period of time the Super B battery was put to use in the World Championship
Superbike and Supersport, Enduro Sport and the Dakar Rally.
The person responsible for this first design is M.H. Doornekamp of Gybe Engineering, an engineering bureau specialising in the development of electronics, which was doing business with major companies throughout Europe. Gybe Engineering continues trading as Super B B.V. since January 1st 2010 and is focussing 100% on the development and production of the Super B batteries.
