Two GoKoBra buggy's at the start in Mar del Plata, two buggy's at the finish in Lima. It was the toughest of 4 Dakar editions in South America.
Both riders Kees Koolen and Jurgen van den Goorbergh had to fight to stay in the race. Especially in the first week the team had to work hard to keep up with the toughest race in the world. In the second week things went smoother, although day 11 was another long and tough day, where a lot of competitors had to abandon the race in the gruelling bulldust. Getting the buggy's to the finish was the main goal. For next year, when the buggy's will be further developed, the goal will be to aim for a top 25 ranking. In Dakar 2012 Jurgen van den Goorbergh finished in 64th place, teammate Kees Koolen finished in 60th place, and 3rd in the solo car category!
