Best performer with three wins and second in the French championship with his Citroen C4 Supercar RX, Jean-Baptiste Dubourg is now preparing to compete in his first race of the World RallycrossRX Championship in Lohéac.
Taking part of a FIA World Championship, is the dream for every driver and is also a necessary step to confront the world's best drivers. After two French championship titles in Sprint Car (2012) and Rallycross Super1600 (2013) and a third place in the Trophée Andros 2014 (ice racing), Jean-Baptiste Dubourg will now participate in the World RallycrossRX Championship at the French round taking place in Lohéac. Following a summer break, the DA Racing's driver is now eager to find a fully updated Citroen C4 RX. Although the pressure is not as high as the one of the French Championship, he expects to attack this race with a lot of ambition.
"I'm really excited to be part of The Lohéac Event. I will arrive in Bretagne with great enthusiasm. Last year, we saw that Lohéac was a real popular success. Viewers are absolutely passionate, the atmosphere is very similar as big races like the 24 Hours of Le Mans! We are in the FIA World RallycrossRX, we reached the top. Like my participation in Super1600 last year, I will approach this race without pressure with the desire to make a good result as part of the best rallycross drivers of the world. We are going to tackle high level drivers, I don't have any complex, and I haven't set myself any limits. Pleasure is also essential during those two days of racing. We look forward to welcoming our partners for this major event of world rallycross."
Candidate for the title of French Rallycross Championship Super1600 with his Renault Clio Mk2 Super1600, including four wins, Andréa Dubourg is back at the Rallycross of Lohéac, round seven of European Championship FIA Rallycross Super1600.
More than a month after his third place in Rallycross of Kerlabo, Andréa Dubourg is eager to regain the cockpit of the Renault Clio Mk2 Super1600. Currently second in the French Rallycross Championship Super1600, he will tackle the best European drivers of the category and the current leaders of the French Rallycross Championship Super1600. The DA Racing's driver is going to face a very thought race. He already had the opportunity to compete a round of the FIA European Rallycross Championship Super1600 on the circuit of Essay in Normandy in May 2011.
"This race is the 'icing on the cake'. This is THE race of the year ! it's always impressive to take part of a world class event. I must admit that I'm very excited at the idea to challenge the best drivers Super1600. Among the French and Europeans drivers, we must expect a high level race. Everyone will be excepting a mistake from a competitor. It will leave nothing to chance. In order to prepare this race and the final rounds of the French championship, in the best conditions, we plan to conduct a test session to confirm the small changes we made during the summer break. I had the opportunity to ride in Lohéac, for a development test of the Twingo R1 RX, it's a very interesting circuit. I'm really looking forward to putting me on the starting grid on Saturday. Our partners will be present this weekend. They will discover the crème de la crème of rallycross with all its international stars."
