Baylor Earns 2nd At The Snow Shoe National Enduro

Grand Junction, CO – Factory FMF/KTM rider Steward Baylor earned 2nd overall at the Snow Shoe National Enduro, the eighth round of the AMA National Enduro Series.

One of the new courses on the circuit, the Colorado race offered great weather but both a rocky and dusty trail. The Factory ride of Baylor had a solid day. His worst test was the opening test where he finished 6th fastest. He quickly recovered from that test score and went on to win the next two test sections. He also took a win in test five and a 2nd place result in the final test. His overall test scores earned him 2nd overall for the day just 20 seconds off of the winner’s time.

“This is my best-ever finish at a west coast enduro,” commented Baylor. “I am not used to this terrain so I typically don’t do as well this direction but I am happy with my result today.”

Baylor’s younger brother, Grant, also put together a solid performance. He tied for 4th place with KTM privateer Ian Blythe. Dirt Wise KTM privateer, Jesse Groemm, finished 3rd overall and now moves to 2nd overall in the series point standings. The final member of the Factory FMF/KTM Team Mike Lafferty, had a race he would like to forget. The 8-time National Enduro Champion finished 16th overall after suffering through a few crashes and later stating that he unfortunately could not find a good rhythm on the Colorado soil.
