Round 7 (The Mountaineer Run) of the GNCC Series was at new venue in Morgantown, WV, just a short drive from Shenandoah Honda/Offroadchampions rider Thad Duvall, hauling from Williamstown, WV. The track was very rocky and a few parts of the 30 minute loop were pretty technical as well.
Duvall started at the first kick and he had a decent start going into the woods in 5th place. Going through the pits on lap 2, a few suspension (rear shock) adjustments were made.
After this Super B rider Duvall fels more comfortable on the bike and things went pretty smoothly the rest of the race. Duvall: ”I was in 4th place after the 2nd lap and stayed there for the rest of the day. It felt like we were racing in the middle of August with temperatures reaching around 100 degrees with the heat index. My Shenandoah Honda/OffRoadChampion Honda worked great all day; I just struggled through the rock sections and came up short from a podium”.
Duvall ended the race in 4th place in the XC1 class and 6th Overall and maintains 5th place in the points standings. A big thank you to our team sponsors, and see you at Snow Shoe Mountain for Round 8!
