IATA introduces "30% state of charge rule" for Lithium Batteries

Dear Super B customer,

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has introduced a new rule for Lithium Ion batteries shipped by air. As of April 1st 2016, Lithium Ion Batteries must be offered for air transport at a State of Charge (SoC) not exceeding 30% of their rated design capacity.

In most cases, this rule will not affect you. But if you receive your batteries by air freight today, it may have a minor impact as explained in the letter below.
