The racing season has kicked off several weeks ago with the first race in the Superbike and Supersport World Championship. In both championships it promises to be a very interesting battle. In the Superbikes reigning World Champion Troy Bayliss has retired. BMW makes its debut with the completely new developed S1000RR and rider Troy Corser already scored his first top-ten result for BMW.

In the Supersport category 2007 World Champion Sofuoglo returned after one season riding a Honda CBR 1000 RR in the Superbikes within the Hannspree Ten Kate Honda team.

In the Supersport as well as in the Superbike World Championship more and more teams use the Super B Battery. In the Supersports no less than 15 of the 30 riders! Amongst them Dutch riders Barry Veneman and Arie Vos. In the Superbikes the Hannspree Ten Kate Honda Team and Stiggy Racing Honda ( with a podium for Leon Haslam in the second race) use the Super B battery. Under the motto ‘’ win on Sunday, sell on Monday’’ perfect advertising for Gybe Engineering and the Super B battery!
