Super B rider Hans Vogels performed very well in the 3rd round of the WEC in Sicily. Saturday as well as Sunday Vogels was 7th in the E2 class, finishing in 27th place scratch. Vogels is now 9th overall in the World Championship.
In typical Italian conditions, with rocks, rocks and rocks in the surroundings of the still active Etna vulcano the stages were very difficult. On Sunday the organisation even cancelled some sections as the conditions were getting dangerous.
Next race for Super B rider Vogels is the second round of the GCC in Marisfeld, Germany.
