The Dakar 2009 is going through its decisive specials. In these days the winners will be determined. Amongst the competitors on bike is a large number that use the Super B battery, to full satisfaction. Gerben Vruggink, a mechanic who works for Team Honda Europe with riders like Jurgen van den Goorbergh and Mirjam Pol gives his opinion:,, We’re very pleased with the Super B. Thanks to its compact size, we now have more room above the air filter house. We can change the air filter from the top, by taking away the saddle. With the original battery this wasn’t possible. This saves us a lot of time, and also for the riders it’s very simple to remove or check the airfilter during the race. About the performance of the Super B nothing but compliments. Our bikes run perfect while carrying a lot of additional electronics like gps and Iritrack.

Other riders using the Super B battery are Henk Knuiman, who’s on course to a top ten ranking, and the ProDakar Team with riders Evert Kroon, Dick van Dam (both out of the race with injuries) Thomas de Bois and Gerard Rond
