At September 27th the 12 hour race at the Hungaroring in Budapest, Hungary will start.

This race is part of the ‘24h series’ for touringcars, GT cars en 24-hour specials with races in Dubai, Budapest and Valencia.

On the starting grid an Audi CR 8 built bij the Dutch company Creventic from Gennep equipped with two Super B 4600 battery’s.

Creventic choose the Audi R8 as basis for a new project. The goal is to built a professional racecar from the Audi R8 which appeals to the imagination and has a lot of potential with its outstanding performance and handling.

Weight and economic use of space are key factors and thus Creventic uses the light and very compact Super B battery. In an earlier stage the Super B 4600 battery was put to the test in a Seat Leon TDI. The results were very positive and gave the team the confidence to use the super B battery’s during the races with the CR 8.

Before the race in Hungary another test is scheduled, after which the team starts preparing for the race at the Hungaroring.

After the first steps of the Super B battery in motorsports in rally-raids (like the Dakar) , the world championchips enduro with the works Aprilia team and the official Yamaha team in World Supersport the next thing is racing cars. An exciting step in the further development of the Super B batteries!
