It’s only recently that the Yamaha World Supersport Team started using the Super B battery. Where’s a better place than the racetrack for a product to prove its quality? Riders Fabien Foret (France) and Broc Parkes (Australia) are respectively 2nd and 3rd in the ranking for the World Championship.
Both riders race the Yamaha R6, which is in basis a production bike for the road.
Teammanager is Dutchman and former-racer Wilco Zeelenberg, the team base is in Germany.
And now the racebikes of the team are equipped with a Dutch product, the Super B 2300 battery. After a number of first tests, several races have been ridden using the Super B to full satisfactory of the team. The Super B battery may be small in size, the role it plays is crucial. Because the Yamaha R6 racers use the normal startmotor, and the riders are obliged to start the bike on the grid using this startmotor. Speaks for itself that the battery doesn’t leave the rider staying behind. Something the Super B battery takes care off.
Racing in World Supersport gives developer and designer Gybe Engineering important feedback about the use of the Super B Batteries, and the opportunity to show the quality of this product.
