Super B, the Dutch designer and manufacturer of lithium batteries, is happy to announce that its traction batteries gained E4 approval according to the UN/ECE R10 electromagnetic compatibility category for interference emission and immunity. The approval, by the Dutch Vehicle Authority in the mobility chain (RDW), permits the SB12V1200Wh-M(Epsilon), the SB12V100E-ZC and the SB12V160E-ZC to be used throughout Europe on vehicles.
All three batteries benefit from Super B’s specially developed Battery Management System (BMS). The BMS controls the electrical distribution within the battery and protects the battery against over- or under voltage conditions as well as excessive current and temperatures. The UN/ECE-R10 approval means that the batteries will function satisfactorily in its electromagnetic environment without introducing intolerable electromagnetic disturbances.
The SB12V1200Wh-M(Epsilon), the SB12V100E-ZC and the SB12V160E-ZC with its integrated BMS offer great autonomy and optimal comfort. Compared to traditional lead-acid batteries the Super B lithium batteries are lightweight, fast-charging and have a long maintenance-free service life.
