Colton Haaker Puts Husqvarna On Podium At Daytona

Round 1 of the 2015 EnduroCross season kicked off in Daytona Beach, Florida, the epicenter of bike week, and Husqvarna made a strong impression with Colton Haaker taking home second place in the Pro Main. The Husqvarna Factory Racing support Rockstar Energy Athlete catapulted to the front during heat 1 but was shortly after red flagged and restarted. Haaker finished his heat in second place and advanced to the Pro Main where he shot out of the gate behind fellow Husqvarna racer and Rockstar Energy athlete, Mike Brown. Haaker challenged the field and despite previous injury, successfully took 2nd place.

“I am so happy to be in Daytona. I am still injured but rode through it to second place. My Rockstar Energy Husqvarna bike was awesome and I hope to be on the top box next time,” said Haaker.

Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Mike Brown put in an impressive ride at Daytona EnduroCross, where he advanced to the main with top gate choice resulting from setting the fastest evening Hot Lap. He took the holeshot during the Pro Main, but experienced several mid race crashes and eventually finished 6th.

“Tonight was tough. I set the fastest lap during the Hot Lap challenge, got the holeshot in the main but fell down a couple times and held onto 6th place. My FC 350 ran great and I am looking forward to getting back on the podium at the next round,” said Brown.
