Jake Nicholls and Glenn Coldenhoff inside of the top 10 at the British Grand Prix

Jake Nicholls and Glenn Coldenhoff of the Super B supported Nestaan JM Racing Team both finished inside of the top ten at round thirteen of the World Championship MX2 Series in Matterley Basin, Great Britain. Jake managed to finish in fifth position in his home Grand Prix and Glenn Coldenhoff ended the day in tenth position overall.

Jake didn’t took a good start in the qualifying heat on Saturday and had to come back from around tenth position. He struggled a little bit to find his rhythm but despite this he managed to work himself up to eight position. In the second part of the race he overtook two riders and moved up to sixth position. Because Tommy Searle came from behind due to a crash Jake got passed in the final lap and finally he crossed the finish line in seventh position.
The start of the first moto was good and at the end of the first lap Jake came by start/finish in sixth position. It took him a lot of time to get by the Frenchman Valentin Teillet but in the middle of the race he found a place to make a pass stick. Jake kept the pace as high as he could and closed down the gap to the fourth place rider Dylan Ferrandis. With four laps to go he took over fourth position but because Jeremy van Horebeek was closing down the gap on Jake he had to give everything he got. Jake managed to keep the Belgian rider behind him and finished the moto in fourth position.

In the second moto Jake was riding a consistent race. He started the race in fifth position and managed to held on to this position till the end of the race. Jake came a little bit closer to the fourth place rider but couldn’t pass him and finished the race in fifth position.
With these results he finished in fifth position overall and stays in fifth position in the world championship standings.
Glenn Coldenhoff started the qualifying heat around fifteenth position. In the beginning of the race he worked himself up to thirteenth position. During the race he started to put the pressure on the riders in front of him and with still several laps to go he managed to pass two riders and finished the race in eleventh position.

In the first moto Glenn had some bad luck in the first lap. He crashed and had to come back through the field. Glenn gave everything he had and already before the midway point of the race he had worked himself up into the points. Glenn kept the pace as high as he could and managed to pass five more riders in the second part of the race to finish the moto in fifteenth position.
In the second moto his race started a lot better and this time he came out of the first lap in twelfth position. Glenn was riding in this position for almost the complete race but in the last two laps he passed three riders and finished the moto in ninth position.
Overall he finished in tenth position and after this round he sits in eleventh position in the championship standings.
