Nestaan JM Racing Team scores well in home Grand Prix in Bastogne

The Nestaan JM Super B Racing Team has scored well in their home Grand Prix in Bastogne. Jake Nicholls scored a top five moto finish and finished seventh overall. Glenn Coldenhoff had a difficult first moto and finished in fifteenth position.

In the second moto things were going better with Coldenhoff and he finished the moto in eleventh position. Mange Klingsheim felt himself at home in the muddy circumstances on Saturday and finished in second position in the first UEM 125 moto. In the second moto he came home in eight position and finished fourth overall.

Day one of the Belgian Grand Prix took place under rainy conditions and the qualifying races were cancelled in order to have the track in the best conditions possible for the races on Sunday. In time practice Jake posted his fastest lap time in his fourth lap and ended the session in eleventh position. In the first moto Jake took a really good start and came out of the first lap in fourth position. Jake found his rhythm straight away and was riding in fourth position for several laps. Than he got passed and dropped back to fifth position. Jake was riding a fine second part of the race and crossed the finish line in fifth position. In the second moto he took a great start as well and worked his way up to fifth position in the beginning of the race. Soon after he had a nice battle with Joel Roelants for fifth position. Unfortunately he lost this battle and dropped back to sixth position. Jake got some trouble with his buddy seat because his seat cover almost ripped off completely so he had no grip anymore on the bike. Because of this he lost two positions in the closing stages of the race and finished the moto in eight position. Overall he finished in seventh position and after eight rounds he sits in sixth position in the championship standings.

Glenn Coldenhoff had some misfortune in time practice on Saturday. Glenn got a mechanical problem and had to run back to the pits. This took him some time and when Glenn was back on the bike he struggled to find his rhythm and set the 22nd fastest time. In the first moto he took a poor start and at the end of the first lap he came by start/finish in 22nd position. In the beginning of the race he struggled to find his rhythm but in the middle of the race his riding started to go better. He passed several riders and worked his way up to fifteenth position. In the closing stages of the race he came close to the fourteenth place rider but he ran out of time and finished the race in fifteenth position. In the second moto he took a better start and came out of the first lap inside of the top ten. Glenn was riding inside of the top ten for a long time but with still four laps to go he lost a position and crossed the finish line in eleventh position. Overall he finished in twelfth position and he sits in fourteenth position in the championship after the race in Belgium.

Mange Klingsheim was riding the fourth round of the UEM 125 Series in Bastogne. The first moto of this class was held in the muddy circumstances on Saturday. Mange felt at home on this type of terrain and finished second in the first moto. In the second moto he came home in eight position and with these results he finished fourth overall. After four rounds he sits in second position in the championship.

In two weeks time the series continues in Uddevalla, Sweden.
